At SGWP Labour, we believe in a better future for the towns and villages that make up the constituency. To achieve this, we will campaign to win the 2024 General Election and return the first Labour MP to this seat. The Labour Party in government will deliver on its Five Missions for a Better Britain and a New Deal for Working People.

We are a group of activists who, between us, have many years experience campaigning on social issues, serving as elected representatives and putting the community first in all we do. We are Councillors, nurses, carers, teachers, business owners, journalists, students and more – of all different ages and backgrounds. We are united in our belief that our towns and the whole country have been let down by 13 years of Conservative government, with absent or scandal-ridden local MPs who put their own interests before their constituents.
